The data of this research were obtained at the “I Seminário de Língua Indígenas do Sul da Mata Atlântica: Guarani, Kaingang e Xokleng” and the analysis was conducted using the Licenciatura Intercultural Indígena students’ and teachers’ speech. Regarding the results, it was observed that even though some language policies, which aim the appreciation and the use of indigenous language, are already regulated, they are not well appreciated in practice and still demonstrate the absence of the indigenous teachers’ autonomy inside the classroom, both in basic and in higher education. Finally, this paper intends to contribute to the visibility of the indigenous populations, mainly concerning their voices.</p> ER -
