The initial part of this conference develops and demonstrates that, within the study of language, diverse forms of knowledge have always coexisted, ranging from philosophical and historic approaches to theoretical and formal constructions, including the pre-theoretical descriptions and the applications in domains of great diversity. In the second part of the conference, there is a presentation of instruments of linguistic analysis that stem from the interaction between logic and mathematics. With regards to the current investigation, some examples of the contribution of genetic science are explained for a discussion on the nature of language, and the creationist and evolutionist perspectives are presented as fields of investigation for the acquisition of systems of knowledge, with special mention to the acquisition of language.
