This study is about the influences of Brazilian Portuguese on the terminologies of eletricity on the specialized context in the use of Libras (Brazilian Sign Language). The main aim is to analyze the Brazilian Portuguese, in its written modality, as an fator that affects the signs-terms in Libras, in the eletricity context. Therefore, they were analyzed data cut out from a Masters dissertation in Language and Arts, in progress, at Universidade Federal do MaranhãoUFMA, that were collected according to deaf people who are users of Libras and study at Instituto Federal do Maranhão in the city of São Luis, in Monte Castelo´s neighborhood.  The theoretical-methodological constitution of this study is supported by the contributions by Cabré (1995), Krieger and Finatto (2020), Barros (2004), Tuxi (2017), Farias-Nascimento (2009), among others. The results showed up that the contact with Portuguese language, in its written modality, makes that the deaf subjects who are members of the eletricity discursive community tend to create and use sign-terms inspired on the writing of the oral term, generating denominations that transplant this writing in a total or in a parcial way, with linguistics loans. By the data exposed, it is aimed to contribute to the linguistical studies oriented to Libras, giving visibility to the terminological productions from Maranhão State and from Brazil.
